Black Girl Magic: Vol 1.

What is 'Black Girl Magic'?

Aside from the obvious connotation it is a collection of art, fiction, and videos compiled into a charity zine to increase representation of black, female characters within the DC Universe.

All proceeds were donated to charities that benefit black women.

As a woman of color I have found it increasing difficult to find any quality content that deals with the issues I personally face as a writer.

So, since I couldn’t find it, I built it!

This site features:

• Writing tips and prompts to inspire your creativity

• Interviews with female writers of color detailing their unique perspectives as well as some “best practices”

• Tips on where best to submit your work for publishing

• How the heck does one even submit? We’ll find out!
